1. If you put the first letter of all the evil teams from all the generations together, G- Galactic, R- Rocket, A- Aqua, M- Magma and P- Plasma, it equals to GRAMPS, which is what Blue calls Oak in the original games and the remakes......what could that mean..?
2. You cannot trade Pokemon that you have nicknamed a bad word or insult. Because of this, you can't trade a Cofagrigus because EXTREMELY dim-witted Pokemon name designers didn't realize Cofagrigus had the word "fag" in it's name. You can only trade Cofagrigus if you have nicknamed it something else
3. There is a very intriguing speculation that the Shadow Triad from Black and White are actually Chili, Cilan, and Cress! Remember at the end when all of the gym leaders showed up? Except for Chili, Cilan and Cress!...hmm..
4. Many animal rights organizations tried to ban Pokemon because it hinted to animal cruelty
5. Some intensely Christian priests and believers defy Pokemon and believe it is evil
6. In Pokemon Emerald, players could obtain an Old Sea Map via an event and it would allow access to a place called Faraway Island. On this island was a wild Mew. Now, before the player enters the forest area where Mew is found, there's a sign that reads... "The writing is fading as if it was written a long time ago... ...ber, 6th day. If any human...sets foot here...again...et it be a kindhearted pers......ith that hope, I depar...". In the Japanese version of the game, this message is mysteriously signed 'ji' and the first half of the name is missing. The only character in the Pokemon universe that really fits the signature is our Kanto friend Mr. Fuji, who was known to be involved in Mewtwo's creation. With this in mind, it appears Faraway Island holds the Mew that was used to create Mewtwo (as mentioned in Cinnabar Islands diary entries) and was brought to a remote Island out of harm's way. Granted this is a bit of an assumption, but it's very intriguing nonetheless.
7. Anyone who has played the original Pokemon games will remember the grumpy old man lying in the street of Viridian City, refusing to let the player pass until he's had his coffee fix. Amusingly, in the Japanese version, he's not grumpy and stubborn, but rather passed out from being drunk. This was changed for the west as it was deemed unsuitable for the age group the games were targeted at.
8. Despite having no visible wings and being based on flightless birds, both Doduo and Dodrio can actually learn fly. They achieve this by rapidly moving their legs in a circular motion. It's very amusing and can be seen firsthand in Pokemon Stadium.
9. Rhydon, the 122nd Pokemon in the National Dex, is something of an unsung hero. It holds the distinction of being the very first Pokemon to be created, an honour some people incorrectly assume to belong to Pikachu or Bulbasaur. As a result, Rhydon was also the first Pokemon to be entered into Red and Blue with the index number 001. Dinosaur-like statues found all throughout Kanto are thought to depict Rhydon because of this reason.
10. In an interview with Ken Sugimori, he revealed that he intended for Hydreigon and its pre-evolutions to be designed as techno-organic tank-like Pokemon. Ultimately the designs didn't really work, so a different motif was chosen.
The three Pokemon were based on Yamata no Orochi, the legendary eight headed-dragon/serpent that some of you may be familiar with as it is sometimes depicted in videogames like Okami. According to Sugimori, though Hydreigon has one true head, its oddly shaped wings and hands are meant to represent the others, and the odd purple lines across its body are actually a nod to its original tank design, as they resemble caterpillar tracks.
11. Forget the eerie Shedinja or the whole host of wrong that is Mr. Mime, the Bug/Grass-type Parasect needs some acknowledgement for being the creepiest Pokemon out there. According to its Pokedex entries, since evolving from Paras, the parasitic tochukaso mushrooms on its back have grown and completely taken over the host. What does this mean? It means Parasect itself is in fact the mushroom controlling the Paras, now a zombified shell of its former self, hence the chilling lack of pupils.
12. Jessie and James are 17yo
13. Slowbro can de-evolve, because pokedex said that if shellder is taken it will turn back to Slowpok
14. Ash's Pikachu was originally meant to be a Clefairy, until a last moment change
